Improvisation

Work with what’s happening

Improvisation is a vast field. For some, it’s a set of performance games or a weekly social activity. For others, it’s a craft, a creative discipline and a way of relating intentionally to the world. Impro Supreme belongs to the second category.

What interests me is improvisation as an artistic practice — not the fast clever version built on verbal reflexes, but the deeper work of choice, clarity and presence. Improvisation that begins in the body, unfolds through purposeful attention and leads to something real and alive on stage.

This page gathers writings and reflections on improvisation understood in its widest, most grounded sense: a way of creating, perceiving and training your creative intelligence.

It’s for improvisers who feel that something is missing in the usual approach — and who want to go further.
